For example: Ik heb het gehoord van u operatie, en dat ze ook goed verlopen is? “I heard about your operation, and that it went well.” (In English we wouldn’t use a question mark.) And: Wel, ik ben blij voor u, dat het goed ging. “Well, I’m happy for you, that things went well.”

So… Yes. I have the same things to say to you that Hanne said. But also: Congratulations on your new liver, and I hope that you and your liver have many happy years together.

Oh, yes. Hanne wrote: Hopelijk wordt je snel eter! That puzzled me. “Hopefully you’ll soon get…” Get what? “Eter”? But then… What if we add a “b”? Hopelijk wordt je snel beter! “Hopefully you’ll soon get BETTER!” Did I guess right?
